In July 2018, alongside Girlguiding’s new programme, the ranger section was reformed. Until then members aged 14-25, whether they were a ranger guide, young leader or adult volunteer, were part of The Senior Section. The newly reformed Ranger section is now for those members aged 14-18.

With the changes, rangers for the first time, have the chance to earn interest badges.
